Structural Integration, as developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf, is a Somatic practice, utilizing deep tissue fascia manipulation, body awareness and movement education. The aim is to restore postural balance and functional ease by aligning and integrating the body in gravity.

Structural Integration is an effective treatment for chronic pain, back pain, neck pain, whiplash, sports injury pain and accident related traumas. Many clients report relief from joint problems, arthritis, fibromyalgia as well as TMJ, headaches and chronic fatigue.

Whether it’s a temporary injury or a chronic problem that life, occupation or sport throws your way, André Fritz’ bodywork treatments can really make a difference. It has for me and continues to provide maintenance, protection, and fix-me-ups when needed. André is a true professional with a very intelligent and intuitive whole body and mind approach.”

If you can imagine how it feels to live in a fluid, light, balanced body, free of pain, stiffness, and chronic stress, at ease with yourself and the earth’s gravitational field, then you will understand the goals of Structural Integration.

“I have a severely torn rotator cuff, which I was told would not heal without surgery, but for a number of reasons I chose to avoid it. Andrés work keeps the shoulder flexible and prevents scar tissue from freezing the joint so that I can maintain functionality. Moreover, I depend on André to keep my body flexible and balanced. Although the sessions are strenuous, I am always left with a feeling of deep relaxation and well-being. I consider his work to be essential to maintaining my health, both physical and emotional.”

“As a construction contractor my body can take a licking and not keep on ticking. Many years ago while loading a heating system into a basement, I became pinned between it and a wall. My lower body was facing the wall and my upper body, the boiler (a 180 degree twist). Driving was hardest as I had to sit a bit sideways for my legs to operate the pedals. After many months I went to André because the chiropractor was not helping at all. It took a couple years every other week to straighten me out. I have been going twice a month since (more than a decade).
I travel a lot and have never found another Rolfer to remotely compare to André. I tried many – I do not waste my time looking any longer. André is waiting when I come home.
Mom is happy too. I finally stand straight.
If you are reading this, trying to decide whether you should see André Fritz or not, let me make this clear. Pick up the phone. Make an appointment. There are no words to describe the profound positive impact André and his practice of rolfing have made on my physical and emotional body. André is a gifted healer. I am so lucky to have found him.
